ICDL Opening Doors for Millennials in the Job Market

<p>International Computer Driving Licence is the world’s

dedicated which mainly helps in raising digital competence standards in the
workforce, in education and in society. Invention of computers made work easier
for everyone in the workforce. It may have led to loss of labourers in
different industries but it certainly made work easier and faster. Work done by
computers are more efficient and accurate but the people operating them also
need to be computer literate.</p>

<p>Existence of computers birthed more jobs than it killed. It
helped the job market as new inventions like the internet came along which has
in turn made things readily available for the public. Graphic designers,
programmers, manufactures, engineers, content creators, software developers are
just but a few of the jobs that emerged or were made easier after the invention

to this the number of millennials taking ICDL is gradually increasing by the
years. It takes appropriately three months in most institutions to complete the
course. Therefore makes it easier for millennials who are out of high school to
enrol for the course as they wait to get into different universities and

the millennials taking the ICDL course they get familiarized with the basics

concepts and skills</span></strong></a> they get to learn include file creation and
management, networks, data security, web editing, project planning,

some people in the rural areas of the country where it is less developed don’t
need to be worried. There are ICDL Introductory Programmes which have been
designed to address the needs of those who have no previous experience of
computers, building a level of digital awareness among candidates and giving
them the confidence to continue on the path to achieving digital literacy. </p><p>The introductory <a href="https://www.kim.ac.ke/kimsom#diploma-1544792561-oipeth5"><strong><span style="color:#1155CC;">courses</span></strong></a>
take around 16 – 70 hours to complete after which the candidate is given a
certificate and can advance to the next level.<span style="font-family:Arial, sans-serif;color:#000000;">Students</span> with ICT skills
enjoy an enriched educational experience and will be better prepared for life,
work, and further learning. ICT skills enable teachers to use technology more
effectively in the teaching process, thus achieving educational goals more
efficiently, and in doing so save time and increase productivity in the
classroom. </p><p>After taking ICDL classes millennials are able to be
absorbed into various job markets which has in turn brought together
organisations from the public and private sectors that are working to tackle
issues around disinformation. Businesses are employing artificial intelligence
to streamline workflows and supply chains. This is therefore a huge advantage
for the millennials undertaking ICDL as it may be a step in advancing their
