Council Member
Winnie has over twenty- five years’ professional and leadership experience both at Board and executive management levels in the private and public sectors.
She is credited with the successful setup of National Employment Authority a government corporation, a task which involved lobbying and developing relationships within government and related partners. During her tenure as Chairperson , Association of Retirement Benefits Schemes( ARBS ) , she facilitated the design and launch of Trustee accreditation training.
Winnie has led successful key people transformational projects in most of the organizations that she worked for ,including , merger and acquisition for UAP/Old Mutual, rebranding and culture change at KCB Bank and East African Breweries .She also led restructuring projects at Delphis Bank, KCB Bank , East African Breweries , and UAP Old Mutual.
Winnie currently serves on the following Boards;
- A Non- executive independent Board member -Britam General Insurance Company
- Chairperson- Ngare Narok Holdings
- Council member of the Kenya Institute of Management ( KIM ) and a member of the technical committee at Kenya Bureau of Standards.
She also previously served as ;
- Chairperson of National Employment Authority
- Chairperson, Association of Retirement Benefits Schemes
She is currently the CEO at Serian Consulting Limited, a firm that deals in end- to end Strategic HR consulting services. She is an HR thought leader skilled in Executive Coaching , organization design , restructuring , culture and organization branding, Leadership development , performance management ,among other strategic areas of HR practice
Her previous experience includes HR leadership in large / multinational organizations;- HR Director- Old Mutual- UAP/Old Mutual
- Country HR Manager- Coca cola Sabco- Africa Beverages – Kenya
- Senior HR Leader - East Africa Breweries
- Senior HR Leader -KCB Bank
Winnie is a holder of an MBA in Human Resource Management, a degree in Education, both from Kenyatta University. She also holds a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management and an executive Coaching certification from the Academy of Executive Coaches. She is a member of the global Organization Design Community . She is also serving as the Vice president, rotary club of Karura for 2020-2021 period.
