The Kenya Institute of Management will facilitate a management essentials training programme specifically customised for contractors in the Roads sector. It will comprise of a 6-day training programme coupled with mentoring/coaching.
The program will benefit road contractors with a better understanding of today’s complex management processes in construction. It will provide an overview of construction management, identify common project management failures, procurement negotiation & contract-related issues and considerations, and practical tips for financial management, strategic planning.
This programme has been designed with the learning needs of the Roads Contractor in mind. It is designed to expose participants to the latest thinking in the management of construction projects. The programme will provide each participant with specific skills in developing competent bids for Road Construction and the tactics to get the company stabilized, ready for growth and increased competitiveness. This training will provide a highly interactive, engaging and active learning environment.
After successfully completing this programme, participants will be able to:

The programme will provide each participant with specific skills in management and the learning is transferred to the company through the completion of an improvement project under the guidance of an experienced Business Mentor. Six days of mentoring will be provided for each participant after the training.
Participants who successfully complete the training and company improvement project will receive certification and 10 NCA CPD Points.

Fee per participant: Kshs 29,000 (inclusive of 16% VAT). This training fee caters for Training materials, Certificates and Refreshments for the duration of the training
