Phyllis excels in advocacy using modern media to reach the youth segment. With over 15 years’ experience, she has honed her skills working within various industries, namely Manufacturing (Steel industry), Building & Construction, Financial services, FMCG, Nonprofits (Development Sector), Motor Vehicles, Agriculture travelling extensively within the Eastern and larger African Region.
She is largely respected for her role as the Project Leader for KCB LION’S DEN show – currently in its 4th Season (13 episodes). This show has been a catalyst to innovation and has led to a strong brand affinity in the youth segment that has resulted in KCB Bank Group brands high affinity and share of voice in the financial sector. It has created a platform through which youth now see themselves creating income generating opportunities, access to affordable funding, gaining access to investors and ultimately, enjoying a better quality of life.
Besides her MBA from the University of Nairobi and professional marketing qualification from the Chartered Instituted of Marketing (CIM UK), Phyllis also has a B.Sc. Agriculture degree from Egerton University and the nationally acclaimed Program for Management Development (PMD) awarded by the Gordon Institute of Business Studies, University of Pretoria, South Africa through their collaborative partner, Strathmore Business School.
As a member of Women on Boards, Phyllis is particular in ensuring that every role she undertakes has an impact on increased opportunities for economic empowerment for our country. It is economically active youth that would cause a shift in our current psyche – resulting in a more peaceful country, conducive for business and nation building - while supporting the overall strategic priorities of the organization. She is fluent in English, French, Kiswahili, Kinyarwanda.
