History and Location
Nairobi is the capital of Kenya and the country’s largest city. It is popularly known as the "Green City in the Sun" and is surrounded by several expanding villa suburbs. The city became the capital of the Kenyan republic in 1963.
KIM Nairobi Branch is the largest branch. It was established in 1954 with the aim to enhance management knowledge and practice in both the public and private sectors. For 47 years from 1954 to 2001 it was located at College House, along the University Way.
In 1999 the branch moved to the centre of the central business district at Emperor Plaza located along Koinange Street. The branch also runs operations at 8th floor of Finance House and Uniafric House on 5th floor where the library is located. The branch has experienced tremendous growth since its inception and has become one of the most reputable and respected academic institutions in the capital.
